BAE’s Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) business area has an exciting opportunity for a Product Line Director to lead the Small Form Factor Electronic Warfare Solutions product line. Based in Southern NH, this business has annual revenues of >$200M per year in a portfolio of programs to develop, manufacture, field, and sustain integrated small form factor electronic warfare solutions that enable mission dominance in the most stressing environments.
This role requires knowledge of electronic warfare and our customer community as well as highly developed leadership and change management skills in order to balance execution, growth, and organization development goals while collaborating across the business area and the company.
Reporting to the ECS VP/GM, this resource can sit in Nashua, NH or Wayne, NJ
Responsibilities:
•Be accountable for an efficient and effective product line, including P&L, to achieve program objectives, customer commitments, and growth expectations. Analyze performance measures and take corrective action as necessary.
•Develop and execute strategic business plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the Company, including forecasting and meeting financial objectives.
•Lead, define, and execute a growth strategy consistent with the product line’s integrated business plan. Keep programs sold and capture the addressable market in a highly competitive landscape,
•Define requirements and ensure that the product line is adequately resourced to meet plans and that programs within the product line receive the necessary support and services from the functional organizations to achieve objectives. Plan, forecast, and take action to hire necessary talent.
•Cultivate enduring, persistent relationships with the customer community in support of current programs and to shape future growth opportunities. Demonstrate thought leadership in the mission and market space by staying actively engaged with our key external stakeholders.
•Measure and regularly report out on strategies, plans, activities, and results to senior leadership.
•Demonstrate visible leadership across the product line, leading by example and fostering innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable solutions.
•Attract, develop, and retain high-performing, diverse talent; build future leaders through development, mentoring, and modeling excellence. Provide holistic leadership, promote a positive culture, and ensure an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and respect in alignment with the company’s behaviors and cultural principles.

•Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typically a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline and a minimum of 15 years of experience leading technical and program teams through all phases of the lifecycle on large, complex programs with responsibility for all aspects of program objectives including performance, quality, schedule, cost.
Knowledge of electronic warfare and the associated customer community.
•Experience establishing and building customer relationships and success identifying growth areas and developing new business strategic plans aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Experience leading large and complex, competitive captures is a positive.
•Demonstrated performance excellence mindset.
•Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others and a focus on holistic leadership. Experience leading large teams, including leadership of leaders, is preferred.
•Risk and opportunity management skills at a portfolio level.
•Ability to negotiate at a high level with internal and external customers and partners.
•Proven skills partnering across the business and the ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries.
•Executive level communication skills with experience presenting complex information to senior leaders.
•Thorough knowledge of Government contracting, current acquisition trends and customer / competitor behaviors.
