THE ROLE
Avocado is currently looking for an Inside Sales Account Manager to be part of the Strategic Partnership Team.
This role will be responsible for opening, and maintaining/growing smaller wholesale accounts and large trade/hospitality accounts.
*Note on Location: You will be working on-site at one of our Fullerton locations, Monday – Fridays. This role will have the flexibility to work from home on Fridays. Some travel may be required to visit new accounts and attend meetings at other AGB locations. This role will be located near the Purchasing team to quickly resolve any logistics, inventory, order entry, or other issues with assigned accounts.
*Note on Pay Transparency: As of January 1, 2023, CA-based roles must provide a pay scale on job postings. The pay rate for this role is $64,480.00 Yearly.
WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
Open new strategic accounts, negotiate deal terms and manage pricing.
Work with Retail Development Team on the following:
Display
POP options
Delivery and set-up
Liaison between AGB and assigned accounts
Responsible for managing timelines, overseeing execution and follow-up once an account is onboarded.
Perform day-to-day responsibilities of account management including status reports, delivery service help,
Attend new product kickoff meetings when applicable.
Create, submit and follow up with tasks associated with your assigned accounts.
Onboarding new customers, overseeing order execution for accuracy, receiving orders, processing orders, ensuring pricing is accurate/accounting, maintaining contact sheets, collaborating with IT for EDI Integrations if necessary.
Work on large Trade or Hotel/Hospitality deals
Work with products, deliveries, costing
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum of 1 years of sales experience and knowledge of the mattress industry PLUS!
Possess strong research, writing, editing and client interaction skills
Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Organized, self-motivated, with a proactive approach to managing and executing projects.
Ability to use independent judgment, analyze information, and formulate recommendations to solve problems.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stationary position: Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
Move: This role involves moving throughout the office space to meet with different team members and external clients.
Operate: Constantly operates a computer and other office machines such as printers and tablets.
Communicate: This role frequently communicates with other team members to update on the status of a task or with clients.
