Work as part of a cardiovascular team to improve outpatient access for heart failure patients in a busy academic practice. In this role as a Heart Failure, ambulatory APP, you will work alongside attending cardiologists, other cardiology APPs, and cardiology nurses and staff to take care of Heart Failure patients. This role will focus on Heart Failure patients with opportunities to participate in educational and scholarly activities that elevate an academic clinical environment. Though APPs in this role will collaborate with and share all patients with attending physicians, autonomy is both encouraged and fostered, as our cardiology APPs will learn to manage acute and chronic conditions with increasing independent expertise.
The schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. NO WEEKENDS, NO NIGHTS, NO CALL.
Requirements:
1. Graduation from an accredited NP or PA Program
2. Licensed, or eligible, for North Carolina as an NP or PA
3. Current American Heart Assoc. BLS and ACLS certification preferred
4. APP post-graduate experience is strongly preferred. Clinical experience, inpatient or outpatient,–especially within the cardiovascular field and Heart Failure–preferred.
