Supervisor, Retail Sales
Base Location can be in Depoe Bay, Waldport, or Sheridan, Oregon

Purpose of Position: The Supervisor, Retail Sales contributes to the company’s success by effectively supervising, supporting and developing a professional retail sales team and driving incremental sales across multiple stores in Oregon state. This role will work collaboratively with peers across the region to drive improvements in customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, while bringing consistency across all retail stores.
Duties and Responsibilities –
Promote and maintain a performance-based culture, where employees are inspired to do their best and act as a mentor to promote employee development
Provide leadership, guidance, coaching and motivation to the team to retain great talent
Promote outstanding customer experience within each retail store
Achieve sales and service goals through effective, daily supervision, coaching and consistent performance management (ex. Discipline) of the sales team
Make recommendations for incentive programs that motivate the retail sales team to achieve monthly sales targets; Collaborate on sales promotion activities to maximize sales
Manage payroll time sheets and ensure accurate timekeeping practices are observed and employees their lunch/breaks according to federal and state guidelines
Manage employee schedules to ensure proper store coverage while maximizing employee efficiency
Provide on-boarding support, observe and provide feedback to new hires to ensure they are on-track with their training schedule
Make recommendations to resolve issues that affect the stores service, efficiency, and productivity
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and trends, and provides feedback to the Retail Sales Manager
Ensure the team maintains a neat appearance in accordance with local uniform/dress code expectations, builds collaborative relationships with market and region stakeholders including the operations managers
Inspect premises of stores to ensure that adequate security exists and that physical facilities comply with safety and environmental codes and ordinances
Maintain, uphold and audit PCI compliance
Understands and follows all company safety standards and practices, accident reporting procedures, and applicable OSHA regulations.
Ensure retail sales team is proficient and effective in the following areas:
Selling target products and packages and effectively communicating system prices, channels, services and packages to customers and potential customers
Demonstrating and/or communicating Astound Broadband’s various products, services and promotions to inbound customer traffic at the retail store or over-the-phone to all current or potential customers
Establishing rapport, uncovering customers service needs and offering solutions as appropriate
Reviewing existing customers’ current service and presenting new solutions when appropriate
Determining a customer’s level of satisfaction with their service and taking steps as needed to ensure that their experience with Astound Broadband is a positive one
Ensuring team maintains a neat appearance, shows respect to internal/external customers, and respect of customer property
Providing accurate and efficient feedback to customer issues quickly and efficiently by improving personal technical knowledge and understanding of all services and equipment
Utilizing billing system and other sales and marketing related tools to effectively identify and quickly provide answers to customer inquiries
Resolving customer questions and concerns efficiently
Processing installation, service change, disconnects and trouble call work orders according to departmental policies and procedures
Receiving/processing customer payments, and accurately balancing a cash drawer on a daily basis
Tracking sales productivity on sales forms/ reports as provided by the company; Ensure all required paperwork is legible, complete and submitted in a timely manner
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Broadband sales or other retail environments
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Highly productive and prioritizes multiple tasks to maximize customer acquisition and retention
• Must have previous experience in retail sales store management
• Experience in retail operations, merchandising, and people management
