We are seeking a Transportation Logistics Engineer at KSC, FL.
Specific Job Duties:
Coordinate and execute daily outgoing shipments from Kennedy Space Center in support of Orion requirements.
Conduct a wide range of coordination activities involving on-campus large transports and off campus over the road transports. This includes Spacecraft and Spacecraft components, large tooling and special test equipment.
Collaborate with other disciplines, program management, planning, quality, safety and CPEs.
Required Skills:
Experience with Transportation and Logistics activities that ensure safe handling and processing of “one of a kind” critical spacecraft hardware.
Knowledge/experience with escorting inbound and outbound commercial vehicles.
Fundamental knowledge of spacecraft/aerospace operations.
Experience with hazardous material processing and possesses the ability to obtain haz mat certification for outbound shipments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective cross- functional relationships and an ability to work and lead in a team environment.
Solid Logistical skills including problem/anomaly identification, analysis, resolution and closure in support of critical transports and movements.
Experience generating statements of work and other Transportation readiness documents.
Willing to support extended work hours and travel when required.
Desired Skills:
Prior Shipping / Receiving experience.
SAP and ASRS system experience.
Physical ability to participate in truck loading and offloading.
Physical ability to work in outdoor environments.
Experience developing and executing procedures.
Experience with Department of transportation permits and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years experience or equivalent experience/combined education.
