Position Overview
This role will lead the company’s finance and accounting reporting functions, including month end, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and providing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to management. This role is a hybrid position that offers the flexibility to work remotely one day per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensure timely, complete, and accurate accounting records and financial reports of all business activities.
· Managing all operations in the accounting department, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledgers, cost accounting, revenue recognition and inventory accounting
· Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure and reporting and analysis including preparation of financial statements.
· Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
· Develops, implements, and enhances the processes, procedures, and controls for the accounting department.
· Coordinates all external audit activities with external auditor.
· Managing and complying with reporting requirements and tax filings for local, state, and federal government.
· Ensures their team is SOX compliant in its execution of its activities.
· Controls the maintenance and updates of the accounting system (and all other accounting software),
and works with the impacted departments as necessary on planning and execution of such projects.

Required/Preferred Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
· 5-10 years of relevant experience required.
· CPA or candidate preferred.
· Working knowledge of GAAP.
· Experience with Infor ERP systems such as Syteline preferred.
· Manufacturing and/or private equity-backed portfolio company experience preferred.
· Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integration experience preferred.
