Global Commercial Services (GCS) provides a range of card programs and expense management tools to help large, medium and small businesses around the world manage almost all the facets of their business spending. The GCS Lead Financial Office (LFO) team is responsible for providing financial management, decision support, and planning & results analysis to the Chief Commercial Officer and her direct reports to help achieve BU and AXP financial targets. The team works closely with GCS business partners and multiple Finance teams to drive insights which have a meaningful impact on GCS business strategy.

How will you make an impact in this role?
As part of the broader team, the Analyst in the Investment Optimization team will focus on analytics and decision support for US marketing investments. The analyst will assist with collecting and analyzing investment data in order to support the Marketing organization in the evaluation of new and past campaigns. The analyst will also lead analytics to identify trends in customer behaviors and lifetime value. In addition, the analyst will be involved in any analytics derived from the Marketing planning and results processes. Ability to collaborate effectively, analytical bend of mind and clear communication skills will be key for success in this role.
Responsibilities include:
Analyze the impact of different prospect initiatives and acquisition marketing programs partnering with the business on recommended changes to optimize financial returns.
Improve investment tracking process including measurement of early performance indicators – including customers behaviors and return on investments – to propose funding or de-funding of offers.
Develop and share investment performance trends with GCS Marketing leaders as well as GCS Finance Leadership Team.
Manage complex processes and ambiguous situations collaborating with multiple team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Self-starter, proactive business person in a finance role including solid business acumen and critical thinking.
Clear communication skills – verbal, written and through presentations. Ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and concrete messages.
Exceptional analytical skills required and strong working knowledge of Office tools and data mining applications highly preferred (SQL, Power BI).
Track record of innovation in previous roles including use of new technology.
Highly motivated individual with an ability to get results and work with ambiguity.
Ability to work under pressure and meet ambitious deadlines.
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $(phone number removed) annually + bonus + benefits
