The American Association for Justice (AAJ ) is seeking a Helpdesk Assistant (entry level) for its Information Technology department. AAJ works to preserve the constitutional right to trial by jury and to make sure people have a fair chance to seek justice when they are injured by the negligence or misconduct of others-even when it means taking on the most powerful corporations.
The Helpdesk Assistant provides initial technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. They are the initial point of contact for staff support and software and hardware troubleshooting while maintaining a customer service focus.
Essential duties include:
• Assists with managing Help Desk tickets in a timely manner.
• Respond to customer issues in person when possible.
• Document customer interactions using the Help Desk ticketing system.
• Run initial troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve customer-reported issues.
• Escalate issues to the IT Help Desk Manager with the next difficulty level.
• Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved.
• Works with IT Helpdesk Manager to create and manage the user device standards.
• Assists with servicing Office 365 Applications (OneDrive, SharePoint, Email, Teams, etc.).
• Provide support for network printer configuration.
• Assists with Installing, configuring, and maintaining laptops, desktops, printers, phones, and other equipment as needed.
• Serves as backup to IT Help Desk Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Technical certification preferred.
• 6+ months of experience working in a help desk environment.
• Ability to work onsite five (5) days a week.
• Strong organizational skills; managing priorities, workflow and developing standard operating procedures.
• Hands-on experience creating, routing, and tracking service request tickets.
• Working knowledge, understanding, and hands-on experience managing, interpreting, and reporting Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Detail oriented for keeping detailed notes on tickets.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues.
AAJ is currently working a hybrid schedule.
The American Association for Justice (AAJ) requires all employees to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. AAJ will allow for exceptions to COVID-19 vaccination based on a medical exemption, disability accommodation, or religious objection; pregnant individuals may also request a deferral if they wish for the duration of the pregnancy.
Unvaccinated staff with approved exemptions or accommodations will be required to comply with weekly testing and to follow CDC guidelines for unvaccinated individuals, which may include wearing a mask at all times.
