Job Description
Human Resources Representative
Salary Grade: 14
Basic Function
Responsible for the administration of plant human resources activities, for all hourly, non-exempt positions, including: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, administering employee benefits programs, conducting employee orientations, maintaining personnel records, processing weekly payroll and maintenance of attendance records. Administer policies and programs to create positive employee relations and maintain a non-union status. In some cases, assist in telephone/receptionist duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain legal compliance posts for state and federal labor laws.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. Associates Degree or ability obtain degree with relative experience will be considered for the right candidate.
Three to five years experience in a human resources department in a manufacturing environment, or other leadership roles is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as conflict-resolution skills, are essential.
Proficient computer skills are necessary to be successful in Office 365 platform, and HRIS/Timekeeping/Payroll Systems.
Good organizational/time management skills and proficiency in various computer software programs is essential.
Decision-making skills, along with ability to understand pertinent laws, are critical.
Level of Authority
Incumbent has the right to hold for inspection any product he/she feels does not meet customer/company specifications.
HR Representative must be able to present facts for decision making for the team. HR Representative can make recommendations for policy adherence. Exceptions to policy will be approved by HR Manager or Plant Manager.
