Job Title: Mid-Level .Net Software Developer
Location: Washington, DC (remote through Covid)
Clearance Required: U.S. Citizen, Secret required, can start with an interim Secret
Position Description/Scope of Work:
Our Department of State customer needs a .Net Software Developer to develop Web-based applications in a C#, Bootstrap, SQL, Oracle DB, and Windows environment. Work in a team environment to design, develop, and support a software system which is undergoing a modernization and expansion. Participate in developing new functionality and enhancing and maintaining existing functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the stakeholders and team members, and using Business Rules and User Stories as a basis: design, develop, and implement .NET applications utilizing Visual Studio, Azure DevOps w/Git, C#, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and SQL and Oracle DB following MVC design patterns.
- Participate in Agile Scrum SDLC activities.
- Perform unit and integration testing of software/systems prior to release to the users for user acceptance testing.
- Work in a team environment with other .NET developers developing new Web-based applications.
- Support developing Agile SDLC phase documentation. Interact with, and support system users.
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements, detailed technical specifications, architectural diagrams and technical deployment documents.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years’ experience with C#, MVC, and Visual Studio
- Must possess excellent diagnostic, problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 3
- Minimum Years of Specific Experience in Field: 3
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Git
- Experience with Bootstrap and JQuery
- Experience developing RESTful web services
- Experience with SQL and Oracle RDBMS
- Experience conducting unit and integration testing
- Experience developing in an Agile Scrum environment
- Good oral and written communications skills
Desired Education:
- Education Requirement with specific field of study: or degree in an IT related field preferred
