Wovens Designer – Madden NYC Sportswear

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Owns product category throughout the development cycle from concept to production
• Sketch detailed flats and create CADs
• Communicate and follow up with factories and team members on product development design details
• Able to spec a garment and know how to communicate construction details
• Setup tech-packs using company standard specifications, construction details, technical sketches & more
• Understanding and adapting of Time and Action Calendar
• Supports Design Director with inspiration and trend research
• Attend fittings sessions for the area of responsibility
• Creates an environment that promotes continual learning and development for future leadership and growth
• Knowledge of the full life cycle of a garment
• Proficient in illustrator and photoshop
• Able to recolor prints

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in fast fashion woven tops/dress category
• Bachelor’s degree in apparel design.
• Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Powerpoint & Excel
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive team player
• Good grasp on the technical aspect of construction, fit, and standard specs

Bonus:

• Walmart Experience
• Working knowledge of CLO 3D design with ability to virtually sew, fill, and render a garment
• Patternmaking experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• New York, NY 10018: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Garment construction: 1 year (Preferred)
• Fashion design: 1 year (Preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)
