Now hiring a Patient Transport Officer in Portsmouth! Full Time Shifts Available : am – pm Cleans, maintains and operates transport equipment and operates elevators to move or escort patients / visitors to and from various hospital areas, as directed, following established operating policies and procedures
Reports any changes in patient status / condition during transport Removes and reports defective equipment to supervisor
Assists clinical staff with lifting and moving patients for transfer and transport Cleans transportation equipment according to Infection Control protocols
Confirms patient readiness for transport and need for appropriate equipment and ensures that equipment is ready and available
Uses patient transport tracking system to receive patient information; Receives Security training in : Crisis Prevention Intervention and Trauma Informed Care, response to missing persons, and basic Security skills
Training in other Security Department areas such as : Dispatch, Valet, Concierge, and standard Security roles are available
Qualified applicants for the Professional Security Officer position will meet the minimum requirements, as described below : Must have years of work experience within the last years , with a minimum of years verifiable work history
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and Drug Screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
Driving Positions Only : Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last months, no more than accident in last months, no more than one minor moving violation in last months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required
may require computer skills Answer phones or greet guests / employees in a professional, welcoming manner Read, understand, and clearly speak English;
constantly use speech and hearing in communicating with public / co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phones No visible face or neck tattoos
The client’s ID badge will be worn at all times while on client property in accordance with site policy Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be worn as appropriate to job roles and duties performed The use of personal electronic devices is prohibited while on post / patrol except in designated areas specified by client policy Climb and descend stairs to all floors of the hospital in the event elevators are not accessible due to mechanical issues or emergency situations
