The Manager is responsible for coordinating, maintaining, supervising, and scheduling staff
with the Mon EMS Management. They maintain standards, coordinate.
activities, allocate personnel and resolve employee problems, including issuing initial discipline and
selecting new employees for RTAC. They review the work of subordinates for completeness and
accuracy, coach and mentor staff, ensures polices, procedures, and guidelines are followed, mitigates
incidents at work, ensures employee injuries and health is maintained, and process employee
paperwork. The Manager cultivates and maintains healthcare facility and non-emergency
transport mutual aid relationships.
In collaboration with Monongalia EMS Duty supervisor, this position will provide comprehensive coordination of non-emergency medical transport services. In addition to primary duties, this position will provide administrative and operational support in patient care documentation, logistics, supply chain, facilities and other administrative and operational areas.
PREREQUISITES
1. Meet all current requirements of a core job description (EMT or Paramedic)
2. Minimum Requirements a. High school diploma or GED b. Valid driver’s license c. Current WV EMS Certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of offer) d. NIMS IS100, IS200, IS700, IS800 e. HazMat Awareness
3. Preferred Qualifications a. National Registry certification at current level of certification b. Three (3) plus years of experience as a provider at current level of certification c. NEMSMA Credentialed EMS Officer (SPO, MPO, FACPE) d. Five (5) plus years of experience as an EMS provider at a similar or higher volume EMS agency e. Previous EMS Supervisor experience

FUNCTIONS
1. Dispatch center manager
2. Oversees transport service.
3. Manages healthcare facility relationships
4. Cultivates non-emergency transport mutual aid partnerships
5. Provides non-emergency transport dispatch software training to healthcare facilities
6. Acts as liaison to owner health system care managements departments
7. Works with MECCA (Monongalia Emergency Centralized Communications Agency) to ensure continuity between emergency and non-emergency services providers
8. Demonstrates technical expertise by serving as a resource and dispatch and transport subject matter expert for the Supervising EMS Officer (Captain), Operation Support Dispatch Specialist, and staff
9. Demonstrates clinical expertise by serving as a resource and role model for transport needs and education
10. Reviews and recommends strategic processes, analytics, and initiatives to better serve clients and meet operational goals
11. Participates in meeting the goals and objectives of the agency and hospital departments by by contributing to the attainment of processes and systems to increase throughput and services
12. Create and maintain accurate reports and records regarding transportation data 13. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of regional geography, traffic patterns, transport routes, and time efforts 14. Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Driver’s License.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Certified Dispatcher.
2. Current or previous medical certification or license (EMT, Paramedic, Clinical Associate, Medical Assistant, RN, etc.)
EXPERIENCE:
1. At least Two (2) years of experience as a dispatcher.
2. At least Two (2) years as a medical provider (EMT, Paramedic, Clinical Associate, Medical Assistant, RN, etc.)
3. Experience in the EMS industry.
4. Experience in Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems (Zolland/orZeurcher).
5. Experience in EMS billing, coding, and compliance.

1. Processes requests for patient transportation.
2. Ensures proper medical necessity (if possible).

4. Assists with Physician Certification Statement (PCS) completion and compliance with requesting facilities.
5. Answers phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.
6. Monitors the location of ground assets to ensure accurate tracking to meet the transport need.
7. Utilizes the CAD system to enter call information and assign assets efficiently.
8. Works with mutual aid agencies to coordinate transport needs.
9. Ensures paperwork compliance and crew feedback processes.
10. Provides logistics support and restocking of assets.
11. Assist with data entry, filing, and keeping the operation organized.
