Responsibilities:  Development and execution line from start to finish, including preparation of line sheets.  Complete involvement of sample garment production.  Ensure that development and research are completed in a timely manner.  Work with Designers for timely line development and special projects for customers. 

Supervisory:  Assist with the overall supervision of Design Room and be the second lead person when Designer, or COO are out of the office.  Supervisory responsibilities include training, planning/assigning/directing workflow, sourcing and resolution of problems as they arise.

Duties:

1. Offer ideas for garment development, including but not limited to, new bodies, new screen techniques and vendors, and new trims.
2. Research, Product Development, and Line Sheets for Stores and Line.
3. Sample Garment development and completion—ensure all details to produce sample garment are monitored through completion—up-to-cut, sewing, blocks/screens, tech packs etc.
4. Input information for orders, verify and authorize information for Production and orders
5. Research Fabrics and Trims.
6. Assist Designer with identifying and resolving issues within the Design Room.
7. Ensure productive Design Room standards, minimizing unproductive socializing, interruptions, and distractions that interfere with workflow in the Design Room.
8. Assist Designer with progressive review of Line to catch any and all inconsistencies of Line prior to shipment.
9. Assist Designer with monitoring Line to ensure garments are tagged as completed.
10. Coordinate workflow of Design Room when Designer is traveling, including production and fittings approvals.
11. Line Book and Line organization pre- and post-Market.
12. Authorize purchases and maintain Budget for Division.

Requirements

1. Must have strong Illustrator/Photoshop experience.

2. Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

3. Knowledge of fabrics and pantones

Skill/ Experience

Must be proficient in illustrator and Photoshop. Flat sketches through final CAD.

Must have experience working with domestic, in-house sewing & pattern departments.

Strong communication skills and ability to work with and influence multiple personality types.
