Alera Group Looking for Director, Human Resources at Las vegas, Nevada Full Time

The Director of Human Resources (DHR) is a key member of the Human Resources leadership team and is responsible for executing HR plans, systems, tools, and processes to support the business needs of Alera Group. Leading a remote team of HR business partners, the DHR is responsible for the delivery of the HR Service model by partnering with leaders and managers to implement agreed upon outcomes needed to build organizational capabilities and meet short and long-term goals. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience driving HR operational excellence in a growing, dynamic, and professional service business environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads, develops, and mentors a team of HR professionals for maintaining a high level of quality and compliance on HR services delivered
• Drives KPI’s that the HR team is responsible for delivering
• Coaches colleagues and managers regarding employee relations issues, including performance management, facilitation of complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations in line with company policies and legal practices
• Leads organizational change to drive operational effectiveness through talent and organizational capabilities and culture
• Keeps informed of local market and competitive trends and leverages these insights to develop appropriate HR solutions
• Fosters a collaborative approach by partnering with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Organization Development, Learning and Development, M&A Integration, Legal, and other Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) to drive the Employee Experience
• Ensures appropriate communications, training and change management programs are executed to successfully deploy new and/or expanded HR services and processes
• Identifies opportunities for continuous process improvement in an efficient and cost-effective manner
• Coordinates the delivery of the onboarding processes for all positions
• Assists with human capital integration needs of newly acquired offices
• Provides assistance and guidance to supervisors regarding colleague performance or discipline issues
• Supports Inclusion and Diversity initiatives
• Leads audits to ensure compliance with federal and state laws
• Communicates policies and procedures updates and supports supervisors in the interpretation and application of such policies
• Coordinates the response to inquiries or charges from state and federal agencies

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management
• Knowledge of HR policy and procedure, sourcing resources, and federal and state laws (in region) regarding employment practices

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related disciplines, such as psychology, sociology, or communications, is required
• A master’s degree in HR management, organizational development, or business, is strongly preferred
• Professional certifications are such as SPHR/PHR or CEBS are also important

Experience

• 7+ years of progressive human resources experience, including serving at least five years in a HR leadership position, ideally in a well-regarded organization that sees the human resources function as strategic and values a thoughtful and progressive approach to organizational development and talent management
• Private equity experience working in a medium to large, multi-location portfolio company, preferred
