The Transportation Management (TM) Department is responsible for the design and implementation of revolutionary technology that enables the flexibility and transparency required in the future of Aldi Logistics activity. Within our department there are several teams, roles and responsibilities contributing to creating more efficient and dynamic logistics service systems for the global Aldi business. We are searching for a Business Analyst to join the Domestic Inbound Team to support the evolution of our transportation management system and associated projects.
The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in a critical stage in the project, so enthusiasm and adaptability in an ever-changing environment are essential skills that will help drive the success of the Team. Ideally, experience with SAP and/or Inbound Transportation planning is preferred as well as a global business exposure, supporting cross cultural understanding.

Work Location: Aurora, IL
Training for the position will take place in the US, however a 2-year expatriation to Dusseldorf, Germany is required. After 2 years with our German business, the role would return to Chicago, Illinois.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Support the evolution of our Domestic Inbound transportation management system.
Guide Countries during the deployment & ongoing maintenance of our transportation management system.
Represent the Domestic Inbound team at cross-department alignment meetings, Country Team meetings & International IT meetings.
Manage project activities, including business-related projects deliverables and project risks.
Represent the international business in design workshops as a key expert of our global template, identifying gaps where relevant.
Provide industry best practices in transportation and process management to establish a lean and efficient solution for Domestic Inbound.
Collaborate with domains and system integrators to develop the best end-to-end solution for ALDI.
Update existing documentation and training materials to enable seamless business implementation and end user training

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field required.
A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in grocery and / or retail supply chain required.
Or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Experience defining software specifications from user requirements or similar discipline required.
Working experience in transportation management or logistics.
Track record in international/domestic inbound processes.
Experience in working with transportation management software (SAP TM preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.
Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
