Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions are immersive, guided travel experiences designed for the curious to explore the world’s greatest destinations. The Senior Manager Operations, Talent Management & Operations Integration is responsible for creating and executing the strategic direction for the teams that manage Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions on-trip staff as well as guest and on-trip staff amenities and trip needs. You will oversee the recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management of on trip staff such as Adventure Guides, Advance Staff, Hosts, Expedition Leaders and Experts hired directly by Adventures by Disney & National Geographic Expeditions. You will also create and execute the strategic direction for end to end post-booking communications, amenities and digital platforms that enhance the Guest Experience while also building brand equity. You will maintain quality and standards set forth by the Company. Successful collaboration with other departments within Adventures by Disney & National Geographic Expeditions, and functional partners, is essential. You will work closely with Trip Operations, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Training, Legal, Sales and Marketing. In this role, you will report to the Vice President, Trip Operations. Responsibilities :
Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Talent Management & Operations Integration team. Create systems, procedures, performance standards, and metrics to track performance. Actively lead, coach, and develop direct reports.
Create strategic vision for the team. Identify opportunities to enhance overall product and guest experience through enhancements in Trip Staffing and Services.
Oversee analysis, development, design, implementation and evaluation of training plans and materials for on-trip staff. This includes, but not limited to, curriculum and/or oversight for Orientation, Symposium, and ongoing refresh training and new initiatives.
Ensure that the overall brand experience is strong across all product lines and that guests receive and engage with branded products and materials that enhance their experience throughout their journey.
Oversee the creation and fulfillment amenities, and post-trip collateral for all products.
Create/manage team budget; ensure accurate budgeting/forecasting; manage costs.
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum 8 years of relevant talent management experience in leadership roles.
Maintain an open and positive perspective that reflects superior products and services for The Walt Disney Company.
Experience managing individuals and teams, some in remote locations.
Motivate and mentor a diverse workforce.
Communicate information in a clear and simple manner to people around the world whose first language may not be English.
Excellent planning and project management skills.
Proven negotiation skills.
Ability to anticipate work-related problems and find creative solutions for challenging, time-sensitive situations.
Proven skills in designing and delivering high-quality training programs.
Comfortable with budgeting and P&L analysis.
Ability to organize and prioritize while working within strict time constraints.
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation.
Experience with Apple and Microsoft products; familiarity with CRM database software.
Domestic and international destination experience a plus.
Willing to travel on short notice; scope and frequency will vary, up to 10% of the time.
