The Vice President, Insights and Evidence leads the research & analytics and evaluation teams, which together evaluate program impact and identify opportunities for optimization and executes the research agenda in support of the organization’s long-term goals and strategic plans. Coordinates and integrates programmatic plans with the organization’s goals and objectives. Advises and recommends long-term strategies based on analysis of program data, internal and external research, and in close coordination with the VP of Program Optimization.

Responsibilities

• Manages and leads a team of data and analytics experts, partnering with key stakeholders offering expert advice and providing actionable recommendations on how to use data and analytics to improve the business’s performance. 
• Leads the creation of new data-driven approaches, generates business insights through data analytics, leads for information visualization, and addresses organization issues in a proactive manner. 
• Drives data consistency within a common framework and drives continued improvements to data-driven insights across the organization. 
• Sets the organization’s future-focused research agenda, while maintaining research conducting standards, with a focus on generating new insight that can inform the work of the enterprise, enhancing program impact and effectiveness. 
• Manages and leads the evaluation and research teams, supervising administration and support services and impact measure and learning functions. 
• Collaborates with marketing to identify opportunities to share insights that emerge from program results and research agenda, driving broader awareness and engagement with best practices as well as emerging needs/opportunities. 
• Collaborates across the organization to research, develop and promulgate strategies, goals, and plans for the business. Serves as primary point of contact and represents the organization on enterprise-wide initiatives. 
• Conducts reviews with executive and senior leadership team, the Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree. 
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in applied research, with experience managing complex research programs to inform decision-making. 
• Experience leading/managing research teams to drive creativity.
• Experience with quantitative modeling, data visualization, and a range of research methodologies. 
• Ability to translate insights into thought leadership and develop an organization’s future-focused research agenda.
• Experience leading and working with cross-functional and interdepartmental teams.
• Significant experience leading complex research and data analytics projects, managing a research team, experience translating insight into actionable recommendations and external thought leadership preferred.
