Essential Functions
- Supports the needs of the organization by completing enterprise-wide compensation assignments Provides recommendations and input into the planning and execution phases of the Job Family Matrix and FLSA projects
- Independently initiates work on Job Family Matrix and FLSA reviews; may lead an HR team in interfacing with business-identified job content experts in the revision and/or development of Job Family Matrices, including the identification of jobs with borderline FLSA exemption status; reviews jobs needing FLSA exemption testing with Legal
- Independently completes salary survey benchmarking and submissions
- Conducts detailed analyses to determine market trends
- Develops and administers portions, or aspects of, compensation programs, including performing cost impact analyses, and assists with the development of compensation policies
- May have overall responsibility for the annual focal process; planning, interaction with all integral pieces and departments, training development
- Develops and oversees focal review process for one or more client groups; consults with senior executives on program issues
- May represent compensation department on project teams
- Prepares training materials and delivers training
- Conducts reviews for organization structure and/or FLSA changes
- May provide guidance to entry level Analysts or staff
- Conducts data analysis and translation (graphs, charts) and designs ad-hoc reports
- May assist in system requirement analyses, or may be responsible for identifying system needs
- Contributes to compensation program and plan design
- Performs project management for significant components of projects
- Performs system administration functions for Sales Compensation technology and/or HRIS (Workday). Duties include system administration, enhancement and maintenance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to influence employees and managers regarding sound compensation programs
- Strong knowledge of applicable labor and employment law
- Strong analytical ability
- Bilingual communication skills (preferred)
- Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification
- 4-year degree in human resources or related field
- 5+ years compensation or human resources experience to include salary administration duties
- Experience with Payfactors (preferred)
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.
