Summary
This position provides paralegal and administrative support for the Legal Corporate/Transactions team, along supporting certain basic legal functions such as contract review.
Essential Functions
Independently performs paralegal services for the company and its various subsidiaries and operations
Corporate Filings and Records – manage legal and corporate records, including entity management for subsidiaries and AAA affiliates, filings (e.g. Secretary of State, DBAs, other regulatory/administrative filings), assist Licensing team with completing and maintaining operational permits/licenses.
Assist Legal Corporate team with file management
Provide project management support for larger enterprise-wide initiatives and projects
Maintain form legal documents
Basic contract review and processing
Basic marketing review and processing
Assist with general Member support services
Assist with a wide range of projects and legal research, as needed
General and admin support for Legal Corporate team and other legal staff and business partners
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
General understanding of corporate laws/regulations
Ability to develop effective relationships and manage expectations in a fast-paced organization
Strong organizational and communication skills
Well-developed research and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of office procedures and practices
* High Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google-suite products
Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification
3-5 years of relevant experience as corporate paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department
3+ of experience with corporate filings
Paralegal certificate (required)
High school diploma or GED
BA/BS degree (preferred)
Working Environment
This is primarily an office job. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending and lifting (up to 15 pounds). Approximately 98% of time is spent using a video display terminal.
