The Director, Digital Channels
(Product Management) leads the digital product team to improve the digital (website, mobile app, and email) intuitive user engagement. The digital product management team is accountable for all aspects of the digital experience; conceptualization through the planning and development. The focus of the digital product management team is to provide digital consulting services including digital product & services strategies and roadmaps to compete with top quadrant digital service providers.

As the leader of the digital product management team, you’ll provide the strategy and roadmap to enhance the Clients’ product & services digital presence. In partnership with the Digital Delivery department you’ll create the strategy and implementation plan to maintain the health of the digital ecosystem and to provide top quadrant digital services. The ideal candidate will also oversee operations and new product & services features such as: AAA Website, AAA App, and AAA SFMC (dev). As well as the integration of Google Analytics, Customer Data Platform (Tealium), and other business applications to monitor product & service performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Strategy

• Responsible for defining digital product management strategy, roadmap, budgeting, and goal setting for both operations and new development.
• Collaborates with Clients to ensure intuitive digital experiences aligned with the company’s goals and business needs.
• Establish digital requirements, KPIs, and designs for the delivery team to implement.
• Owns overall project deliveries for Digital sponsored initiatives / projects or digital workstreams.
• Provides communication on Digital sponsored initiatives / projects or digital workstreams.
• Integrates Digital sponsored initiatives / projects with Clients’ projects into a Digital roadmap to provide transparency to the digital portfolio roadmap prioritized by the LOBs’ VPs.

Team, Vendor Management, and Budget

• Leads organization of digital product managers, designers, and analysts (e.g., FTE, Consultants)
• Responsible for business related application tools, resource vendor selection, and contract terms. Manages related vendor performance to ensure proper delivery, availability, and reliability.
• Manage team performance metrics and standards and conducting performance reviews
• Mentor, coach and evaluate direct reports
• Facilitate hiring and on-boarding of FTEs, contractors and vendors
• Ensure project and department goals are met within the approved budget

Product Management

• Gain top level alignment with Client VPs and Directors to provide clear guardrails to Digital Product Managers and Del;very Leads.
• Resource for the assigned Product Manager to present and review recommendations to achieve user experience and KPIs
• With team member input establishes protocols for easy onboarding new team members and established guardrails for what are acceptable Planning artifacts and Execution expectations by roles.
• Establishes operational protocols for monitoring digital products & services and resolving production issues.

Experience/Job Requirements:

• Solving problems for consumers in a product-management-like role for a tech or internet company or venture, placing the user experience first.
• Leads by example and can coach team members to be persuasive presenters
• Thrives under pressure and functions effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Can see patterns in numbers and leverages data to make decisions, yet can make decisive decisions with the facts available.
• Collaborate with all levels of team members building strong relationships and better solutions
• Experience in using both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Demonstrated expertise in marketing automation and related technologies including Salesforce, CRM, CDP, and analytics platforms (Google)
• Solutions Architecture experience; particularly in the Marketing technology space
• Experience working with cloud-based solutions
• Experience with data visualization, analytic tools, reporting and dashboarding, cloud-based data platforms, and machine learning capabilities
• 5+ years leading an Digital Product Management team
• 5+ years work experience in Marketing or Communications
• 3+ years work experience with websites / mobile app product management
• 3+ years working in an Agile environment
• 3+ years of experience leading a team in producing quality work on time
