Job Summary

The Director, A3S Operations Strategy will develop and execute strategic initiatives based on business cases and establish continuous improvement programs to support the A3 Smart Home Operations. This is an accelerated leadership role that will provide a high level of exposure to the executive team and rapid opportunities for advancement with high performance.

Essential Duties

• Business case development:
  Partners with other teams to identify cross-business unit collaboration opportunities. Perform cost and benefit analyses to provide solution recommendations to senior leadership that support business strategies. Develop evaluation criteria and measure implemented initiatives to determine actual impacts and costs, benefits and success. Scalable process improvement. Use advanced business analysis and improvement methods to address large scale/highly complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of business, process, and people. Establish best practices to improve the quality of the value chain to better meet member needs while supporting efficiencies and cost reduction. Collaborates with other teams to identify opportunities and refine processes to add value. Create and manage process improvement toolkit, and maintain Pro Playbook.
• Project management and communications:
  Own content and process for communicating to and with the Pro Teams, Dealer Services, Sales, and Call Center for updates and changes. Plan and implement redesign initiatives. Organize, lead, and facilitate cross-functional project teams. Make recommendations on business capabilities, implementation delivery, and demand and capacity management of operational and field resources. Act as a catalyst for innovation, technical and cultural change by providing support and mentoring for team members and peers.
• Team management:
  Implements effective change management practices for process improvement. Accountable for the development of the department budget, financial priorities, operational procedures, and the forecasting of staffing needs along with VP of Residential Operations. Coaches and mentors staff, evaluates performance, and plans staff development. Deploys resources effectively to meet operational needs of department

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong problem solving skills: Identifies and analyzes problems; distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical decisions; provides solutions to individual and organizational problems.
• Strong leadership skills, including a history of increasing leadership responsibility and career growth in process improvement
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels
• Ability to develop a change leadership strategy based on situational awareness of changes and the groups impacted
• Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives
• Excellent organizational, consulting and project management skills
• Adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills; rigorous approach to project management to deliver enterprise-level projects

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, required
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred
• 8+ or more years relevant strategy, operations, and/or project management experience

Working Environment

Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.
