Sales Assistant Job Description:
Assist the Sales Team in all aspects related to account maintenance, including setting up appointments, assisting in merchandising presentations for showroom appointments, preparing line sheets, sending samples to accounts, and assisting with appointments.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Liaison on daily tasks involving Sales, Customer Service, Marketing and Design teams.
2. Assist with order management – Write, process, log, update, and track customer purchase orders from receipt to shipment.
3. Generate, manage, update, and maintain account sales reports – Weekly style selling and inventory.
4. Maintain organization of system files – Line sheets and cads. Continuously update linesheets as needed.
5. Interface with customers – Meet & greet, attend meetings, correspond with buying teams, follow up with accounts once shipped for reorders, and feedback. Assist with tradeshow set up and selling during the duration of the show. Cold Call and email target accounts and help them understand our brand. Help to research new stores and connect with the buyers to get them on board.
6. Meeting/Market preparation – schedule appointments, sample preparation, meeting recaps, making sure the showroom is neat and presentable for accounts.
7. Sample management – Order and track customer samples as needed; Assist sales team with photo shoot selects and manage the samples needed for the shoots.
8. Online product and brand research
9. Help to brainstorm new ideas for wholesale marketing and campaigns within our online ordering platforms.
10. Assist and help to maintain wholesale platforms such as Nuorder, Faire, and Abound.
11. Special projects as needed – photoshoots, trunk shows, pop ups, sample sales, etc.
Qualifications:

Language Ability: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; able to convey information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Knowledge of basic retail math.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel. Should have knowledge of Google Sheets. Photoshop a plus.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
