32 Degrees Looking for Womenswear Senior Outerwear Designer at New York, New York Full Time

JOB DESCRIPSION:

Looking for a Womenswear Senior Outerwear Designer.

The Senior designer of Outerwear will work with design director to create the seasonal line from Trend appropriate design concept, colors, fabrics to styles that meet market needs and drive sales and ensuring the timely execution of each stage in the process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research and Analyze seasonal concept that focus on style, brand’s aesthetic, functionality and brand-right fabric.
• Assist in the creation of brand-right commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction and business strategy.
• Deliver design sketches/proto styles(CAD work in illustrator) and provide specifications.
• Initiate teck packs and update linesheet. 
• Collaborate and follow-up on deliverables with overseas vendors throughout the design process including seasonal material development; Evaluate Lap-dips, strike offs, trims and bulk material approvals and communicate comments in a timely manner.
• Follow up with factories on sample schedule to ensure samples are received on time.
• Support internal presentation and showroom display for buyer meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• 10+ years working experience in apparel design.
• Knowledge of apparel design and product development processes.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Flexible and able to accept and embrace departmental /organizational changes with positive attitude.
• Portfolio of previous work.
