JOB TITLE:
Assistant Professor, Science Education
JOB PURPOSE:
The University of Wyoming’s College of Education invites applications from dynamic, qualified candidates with a strong background in and commitment to Secondary Science Education. This position supports the College of Education’s Secondary Science Education BA program, the UW Science and Mathematics Teacher Center’s Middle Level Science Masters of Natural Science program, the Science Education Ph.D. program, and the Teaching Secondary Content graduate certificate for licensure in science education, grades 6-12.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We expect all faculty at the University of Wyoming to be excellent teachers and be committed to innovative teaching approaches resulting in improved student learning. Faculty in the College typically teach five courses per academic year. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in academic scholarship, including grant writing and conducting/publishing research in science education.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
