The VA Los Angeles Healthcare System seeks full-time Interventional Radiologist.
The Imaging Service at the Greater Los Angeles (GLA) VA Healthcare System is seeking an Interventional Radiologist who has a passion for working with a diverse population, providing a full range of IR services, and who have a desire to be a part of the overall care of Veterans. As a multidisciplinary team member, you will work closely with referring providers, nurses, and others to deliver excellent in/outpatient services by providing coordinated, integrated, rehabilitative, and restorative health care to help Veterans achieve and maintain the highest level of functioning and independence.
Interventional Radiologists at GLA and its Community-Based Clinics are responsible for the full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures, including peripheral artery endovascular therapies, Interventional oncology (Y90, ablation, etc.), dialysis access and maintenance, embolization procedures, GI/ hepatobiliary interventions, GU interventions, biopsies, drainages, etc. In addition to direct patient care, there will be opportunities to collaborate and/or develop research programs in relevant areas of Interventional Radiology and, as part of our radiology team, participate in teaching and/or supervising radiology residents and medical students through our affiliation with UCLA with eligibility for an academic faculty appointment within the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine.
GLA VA is a Level 1A complexity tertiary care health delivery organization that provides comprehensive care to one of the largest Veteran populations in the VA system. It covers a large geographic area with 11 sites, including an Inpatient Facility, Community Clinics, and Ambulatory Care Centers. GLA is a state-of-the-art teaching hospital providing a full range of health services, including comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and extended care programs for veterans. Additionally, the Los Angeles VA and 11 sites are committed to supporting research and educational programs to improve tomorrow’s healthcare.
Work Schedule: Compressed Schedule | 4 Days | 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
