Reporting to the owner, the general manager will be responsible for overseeing and supervising all day-to-day activities, ensuring the efficiency of all products and services to customers. We offer competitive salary, benefits, growth opportunities, and a great working environment.
Essential Functions
Develop and implement strategic plans to meet business objectives and revenue targets.
Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure profitability and efficiency.
Plan, organize, and oversee all operational activities, including project management, sales and marketing, customer service, and administrative functions.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to the lawn, landscaping, and sprinkler industry.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and industry partners.
Hire, train, and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to promote professional growth and development.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Evaluate performance and provide regular feedback to staff to promote accountability and improve results.
Develop and maintain effective communication channels with staff, customers, and stakeholders to ensure business success.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in lawn, landscaping, and sprinkler industry management, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve excellence.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of marketing and sales strategies to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance, and safety standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software applications.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
