The Role
In this role, you will monitor bioinformatics software products to minimize downtime. You will work closely with bioinformatics and software engineers to ensure the continuous operation of the products.
We are hiring for two shifts, with on-call support as needed:
Shift 1: Monday & Tuesday 12:00-22:00, Wednesday 12:00-18:00, and Sunday 09:00 – 22:00;
Shift 2: Wednesday 13:00-14:00, 17:00-22:00, Thursday & Friday 12:00-22:00, and Saturday 09:00-22:00
This role has the flexibility to be based in our office in Seattle, WA or in the office 10% of the time.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Monitor and maintain the scientific software to ensure its continuous operation.
Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve or annotate potential operating issues.
Work independently and collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve software bugs and implement improvements.
Provide on-call support to address urgent issues and minimize downtime.
Develop and maintain documentation related to software troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Continuously improve your knowledge of the software and its underlying technologies
Improve and automate error reporting applications.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of relevant work experience
Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and Linux
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with bioinformatics software and an understanding of neoantigen therapies
Effective time management, organization, and planning skills
Flexibility; adaptability to frequent change
Results oriented; ability to manage performance.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Personal and shared accountability
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Under Washington State law, Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description. Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $90,500.00 to $(phone number removed). Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills. Compensation decisions are made on the facts and circumstances of each case.
