Summary:
This role will be responsible for leading the technical and analytical projects required for development and support of the Multi-Family Component Division Estimating Department.This role will assess functional operations, establish costs bases for product estimates, develop tools and processes, track performance metrics, and strategize ideas for department and company improvement.
Position Responsibilities:
*Gather and analyze data for potential process improvement.
*Track and monitor internal and external cost metrics for price set analysis.
*Develop estimating tools for improved process control, automation, and data integrity.
*Coordinate with Sales CRM developers/administrators for process control, automation, and data integrity.
*Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand departmental performance.
*Evaluate departmental performance for best practice opportunities and conformance issues.
*Assist with project management for departmental scheduling, software contracting and development, and intra-company data flows.
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:
*Knowledge of products and process of the Multi-Family Component Division
*Strong analytical skills, data interpretation skills, and explanation/presentation skills
*Strong interpersonal skills such as leadership, teamwork, and good listening
*Highly skilled with analytical tools such as MS Excel, relational databases, dashboards, etc.
*Strong mathematical and statistical skills
*Knowledgeable of costing/pricing, modeling, and product configurators
*Creative problem solving
*Ability to integrate company goals and strategy into departmental contribution and successes.
Education and Experience Required:
*Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
*5+ years of appropriate work experience
*Lumber / wood products experience and knowledge a plus (but not required)
*Truss / components and/or multi-family construction experience a plus (but not required)
Language Skills:
*Ability to read, analyze and interpret general procedures and/or documents in English.
*Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.
