The Clinical Trials Project Manager will support the Massachusetts General Hospital Stroke and Neurocritical Care Research Center with ongoing and future clinical research activities for the MarkVCID Consortium consisting of US academic medical centers whose mission is to identify and validate biomarkers for the small vessel diseases of the brain that produce vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID).
Reporting to and receiving direction from the Center Director and other management, the Clinical Trials Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day project management of a high profile, NIH sponsored biomarkers consortium and other site clinical research activities. The Project Manager is responsible for working directly with the consortium’s recruiting sites and consortium committees to identify recruitment and retention challenges and develop well-informed strategies to bolster recruitment and retention. They are responsible for taking charge of consortium-wide and site-specific recruitment and retention strategies, identifying and sharing best practices, training, lessons learned, and effective tools such as customizable publicity materials, newsletters, fliers, and personalized subject communications with an emphasis on the recruitment and retention of populations typically underrepresented in research studies and experiencing health disparities. The Project Manager is a key liaison with all levels of staff, consortium collaborators and funding agencies to ensure questions are addressed and operations run smoothly. The Project Manager works with the data management team to ensure deadlines and enrollment milestones are met and is a key contact for clinical research sites.

Supervisory Responsibility
Training and some supervision of research and administrative staff as appropriate. Potential for direct management of up to 5 FTEs.
Fiscal Responsibility
Assist in budget preparation, monitoring and reconciliation of study-related expenditures.
