Renovation Account Manager

Role Objectives & Responsibilities
The Renovation Account Manager position is responsible for achieving sales quotas and assigned strategic account objectives. In addition, the individual in this role will be responsible for assisting Operations with bidding / estimating projects, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customer’s needs and expectations are met or exceeded until the project has been completed and payment has been collected. The individual in this role will:
Sell the Company’s exterior and interior single-family renovation services to customers across an assigned territory
Discuss client needs virtually, assess customer needs, make individually-tailored product recommendations, and develop and negotiate customized price quotes. Travel to the client site is only on an exception basis.
Assemble accurate bids and proposals and ensure timely delivery to customers.
Complete required sales contracts and paperwork. Leverage measurements from Estimators to ensure orders meet required installation specifications.
Communicate project details and customer expectations to the delivery team to achieve effective planning of the project.
Communicate with the client(s) throughout the construction process to ensure they are satisfied with the progress of projects. Proactively assess customer needs on an ongoing basis and maintain relationships with client(s) to ensure satisfaction with work performed.
Respond to homeowner inquiries via phone, text, and email within expected service levels.
Study and understand project specifications, plans, and scope(s) of work to effectively launch and oversee each project.
Facilitate collection of payments and/or deposits at key milestones during the renovation process.
Maintain CRM forms and project management software to document activities and enable successful communication with the customers. Oversee 15-25 active projects at a given time with assistance from the Project Management team.
Meet with 4-5 homeowners per day to provide virtual project plan/scope and oversee active projects.
Solicit and acquire new customers inside the assigned territory, as well as at industry events.
Primary Responsibilities:
Generate, manage, and close sales leads by self, from company and referral sources.
Track and maintain notes in a CRM database.
Market company to new customers through digital (email, text, etc.) as well as cold calling prospective leads.
Conduct activities necessary to complete sales (e.g., assessing customer needs, developing price quotes, measuring product specifications, facilitating the execution of customer contracts, etc.).
Generate and present complete and professional estimates.
Serve as a primary customer point of contact during renovation and collect all necessary deposits and final payments from the customer.
Present warranty and available financing options to customers.
Prepare for calls & appointments, commute to/from appointments, as needed, and process sales-related paperwork.

Customer Satisfaction: Post-completion survey scores.
Customer Outreach: Normative outreach goals met or exceeded in terms of email, call, text, etc. for leads or active quotes, as well as active projects.
Requirement Knowledge & Experience
Education (Required):
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED
Experience (Required):
3-5 years of sales experience
3-5 years of prior in-home or virtual sales experience
Prior home improvement industry experience
Prior experience with lead generation
Experience working with estimating software
Required Skills
Experience in sales, real estate, remodeling, and/or construction.
Strong leadership and negotiation skills; ability to persuade or influence others.
Exceptional verbal, written, listening, and communication skills.
Computer literacy with Internet Explorer and MS Office programs.
Professional demeanor suitable to working in our client’s homes but as an exception to virtual-based sales.
Ability to follow a proven sales process to drive sales and increase the pipeline of potential customers.
Ability to create a detailed proposal for a renovation job.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management skills.
Manage lead flow.
Able to hit monthly sales goals.
Frequent communication with customers and prompt follow-up with leads.
Organization and ability to quote products and services correctly.
Skills (Preferred):
Outside Sales experience is a plus.
Knows the competition and uses industry/company knowledge to prepare winning proposals.
