The Database Developer is a team contribution level role. Responsible for technical development activities related to Data Integration, Data Key management, Data Warehousing, Reporting and other data and reporting systems. This includes coordination for Database queries, data design, stored procedures and other data operations. Must be able to develop under the standard for RASP (Reliable, Available, Secure and Performant) systems and operational support 24x7x365. The Database Developer must also be able to read and write requirements and implement secure coding and deployment activities with other data and ETL developers, BA’s, PM’s, peers and DBA’s.
Duties & Responsibilities
– Contributes to team activities and task
– Works as SSIS ETL and SQL developer, works with peers, database developers, ETL developers, analyst, PM’s, BA’s and other support leads and manager
– Must consistently demonstrate strong coding, implementation, and coordination skills, be highly meticulous and high execution oriented
– Contributory role for data systems including but not limited to EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) , CIS (Customer Information System) , and other related systems, databases, interfaces, and reports
– This also includes all ETL design and coding
– These activities must meet Bank standards for RASP (Reliability, Availability, Security and Performance)
– Solid business knowledge and ability to craft and interpret requirements, data mappings and conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling to ensure requirements are prop erly designed in ETL or SQL, tested, and supporting code properly aligned and follows best practices
– Requires interaction and coordination with peers including BA’s, DBA’s, and others
– Demonstrate team collaboration and always give folks the benefit of the doubt
– Demonstrates strong leadership and promotes team collaboration
– Exhibit self positively and openly asks for and is accepting of feedback
Requirements
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree
– Three to five years of Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft T-SQL and Data Warehousing using Microsoft SQL Server
– Experience in data integration and data key management systems, Master Data Management and Systems of Record implementations
– Bank and/or financial systems experience
– Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), batch scheduling such as UC4
– Proficient in data warehousing, data modeling, dimensional data designs, OLTP, and OLAP principles
– Strong coordination skills, highly meticulous and high goal oriented.

– At least 2 years’ experience in data integration and data key management systems, Master Data Ma nagement and Systems of Record implementations with financial services systems experience
– Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies
– Proficient with Microsoft development tools, such as TFS and Visual Studio
– Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services a plus
– Experience with Automic UC4 batch scheduling a plus
– Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, Postman, Swagger and CICD
– Experience with Microsoft .Net, JavaScript, JSON, XAML, C#
– Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
– Excellent fundamentals of software development knowledge
– Experience across various stages of the software development process
– Actively contribute towards applying best practices
– Designs, codes, tests, debugs, code reviews, and documents moderately complex software
– Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
– Ability to think critically about requirements to acquire understanding before e xecution
– Ability to proactively address challenges
