Description:
Under the direction of the Director of HR the temp HR Generalist will implement the talent acquisition plan for the City of Bostons Mayor’s Office of Housing MOH. Talent Acquisition includes but is not limited to: recruiting screening and onboarding full time employees and fellows. This role requires strong experience with talent acquisition and talent management. A strong applicant will have a proven record of developing and managing talent acquisition strategies and campaigns creatively marketing careers and designing and supporting the candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
– Actively recruit a high quality and diverse candidate pool for hard to fill positions through posting positions on recruiting websites active networking and other forms of outreach.
– Play a leadership role in talent acquisition efforts for the department which includes: full cycle recruitment –
recruiting sourcing and reviewing candidates conducting interviews gathering and recording feedback and checking references
– Collaborate with the HR Director to streamline and standardize recruiting and hiring practices.
– Work with hiring managers from various divisions of MOH.
– Occasionally attend college/university and career fairs and networking with other municipalities and government agencies
– Attend weekly meetings providing updates on recruiting duties/hiring status.
– May support the Director of HR on other HR duties as needed.
– Performs related work as required.
