The Department
of Teacher Education in the Dewar College of Education and Human Services seeks applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position beginning
August 1, 2024. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise and participating
in service at the department, college, and university levels.
The Department of Teacher Education is comprised of 24 faculty
with 20 initial teacher, advanced teacher, and service degree programs. The department supports students at all levels of their career
pathways and is a partner with schools and programs throughout the South Georgia region and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The
position will be responsible for teaching a 5/5 course load per semester (Fall and Spring), providing program coordination of the online
elementary education degree program, and providing service to the department, college, and university.

The Dewar
College of Education and Human Services prepares professionals for multiple roles in educational, business, and community settings. The
College is home to five departments (Leadership, Technology, and Workforce Development, Teacher Education, Human Services, Communication
Sciences and Disorders, and Library and Information Studies). The Dewar College of Education and Human Services is approved by the Georgia
Professional Standards Commission
(GaPSC) and is an American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) award-winning
institution. In addition, several of the college programs are accredited or nationally recognized by their specialized professional
